Okoker DVD Ripper is a DVD ripper for Windows computers. The application can open DVD movies on DVD disks or IFO files from movies that have been already ripped to the hard drive and convert them into AVI, MPEG-4, SVCD, VCD, MOV, VOB, AAC, and MP3. There aren't any conversion profiles for playback devices, a trend that many developers out there are using, and which I think is great.
Graphically, the application is really nothing to write home about. It has a very old-looking graphical user interface. There is a video player that allows you to play the movies you load onto the interface.
When you load a movie, all the titles that make it up will be listed at the bottom of the screen. Once they are listed, you can uncheck those that you don't want to convert. Generally, DVD movies have several titles, but only one or two contain the main movie.
You can choose what audio track you want to use with your converted file, but you can't choose a subtitle track. You can change the conversion settings a bit after you have selected the format you want to convert your movie to. The options that can be modified are resolution, bit rate, frame rate, aspect ratio, and volume, among others.
I tested this tool by converting a DVD title into MP4 and the resulting file played well. Only 10% of a title can be converted using the trial version.
